Thy Kingdom Come!
Would you like to become a Spiritual Mother and "adopt" a Legionary Priest to pray for him? We have been offering this program since 2012 and have over 260 women across the Ohio Valley Locality who have adopted a Legionary or local Diocesan Priest. Join the thousands of Spiritual Mothers all over the world!
A major requirement for being a Spiritual Mother is to pray for your assigned Priest-son, with weekly Eucharistic Adoration. There are five simple commitments.
"The document for Eucharistic Adoration for the Sanctification of Priests and Spiritual Maternity (published by the Congregation for the Clergy, Claudio Cardinal Hummes, Prefect, December 8, 2007) promotes Eucharistic adoration for the sanctification of priests and spiritual maternity. With the approval of Pope Benedict XVI (2007), lay women may now adopt priests as their sons and pray for them with Eucharistic Adoration. We have accepted that approval and offer adoption of the priests of The Legionaries of Christ/Regnum Christi as our Priest-sons. In this Spiritual Motherhood of Priests, we offer for our adopted priest-sons a commitment of weekly Eucharistic Adoration, daily prayers, and little sacrifices. We try to imitate our Blessed Mother Mary, the first Mother of Priests, in her humility and sacrifice. We adopt priests as our sons with the commitments of Eucharistic Adoration, prayers, and sacrifices to help our priest-sons give themselves to God more perfectly in being shepherds of their flocks, leading us all to heaven with them."

"The hour is coming, in fact has come, when the vocation of women is being acknowledged in its fullness, the hour in which women acquire in the world an influence, an effect and a power never hitherto achieved. This is why, at this moment when the human race is undergoing so deep a transformation, women imbued with a spirit of the gospel can do so much to aid humanity in not falling."
Vatican II, Closing Speech, December 8, 1965
Mrs. Mary Anne Gronotte and her two sons, Fr. Andrew and Deacon Christopher, were guests on the first half hour of Radio Maria, "Vigilant Heart" on May 18th. Mary Anne shared her vision of the Spiritual Motherhood program, which she coordinates from her home in Kentucky.
