Ilona Kies

Ilona Kies made her vows as a consecrated woman in Rome on August 29, 2004. From 2004 to 2008 she completed pastoral and religious studies at Mater Ecclesiae College in Greenville, Rhode Island. Since 2008, she has worked in Germany, first in Bavaria helping in youth work and then in Düsseldorf in the areas of media work, catechesis and as a representative of the spiritual communities in the archdiocese of Cologne. She has been also voted to be part of the diocese pastoral counsel of the archdiocese of Cologne from 2016 to 2020. In 2014 she began a bachelor's degree in media design in Cologne, which was successfully completed in 2018.  During the summer of 2020, she transferred to Cincinnati, OH where she will work with youth and support the ECYD Section.
