Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fr. Lucio’s family immigrated to the United States when he was six. The oldest of three boys, he was raised in Miami, FL, lived in France one year, and finished high school in Tulsa, OK. He particularly enjoyed playing ice hockey for his high school. He was involved in youth ministry at the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He discerned God’s calling to the priesthood throughout college and first discovered the Legion and Regnum Christi online. After first visiting the candidacy in 2003 and a year of preparation, he entered the Legion of Christ novitiate in Cheshire on September 2004. While finishing his studies in philosophy, he went on three separate trips to the Midwest to raise money for the seminaries.
After obtaining his degree in philosophy, he was sent to Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX in October of 2009 as youth director. Over the next three years there he worked to found a network of youth clubs, retreats and summer camps known as “DFW Conquest”. In his last year, 2011-12, he participated in a two-week intensive course at the University of Francisco Vitoria in Madrid developed to train Legionaries, consecrated women and lay people in the new vision for ECYD (Experiences, Convictions, Your Decisions), a Christian way of life rooted in the Regnum Christi charism that responds to the deepest needs of teenagers. He finished his the fourth year of internship in Chicago for the year 2012-13 assisting youth ministry in Chicago as the Director for the RC Missionaries.
He was ordained a deacon on May 14, 2016 and was ordained a priest along with 35 other Legionaries in Rome on December 10, 2016. He celebrated his First Mass in the United States on January 21, 2017, with his Regnum Christi family at Our Lady of the Holy Spririt Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
