Br. Ryan Carlin, LC

Br Ryan hails from Baltimore, Maryland where he has been involved in Regnum Christi since he joined ECYD in 1995. He grew up in the ECYD and young adult RC teams in the Baltimore area before joining the Legion of Christ novitiate in Cheshire Connecticut in 2006.

During the past 14 years of religious life in the Legion of Christ he has been blessed to study and minister in Cheshire Connecticut, Thornwood New York, Chicago Illinois, Detroit Michigan, Rome Italy, Palermo Italy, and Mexico City, Mexico. During these years of seminary training he has studied an associate degree in classical humanities, a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, a bachelor’s degree in theology, and a master’s degree in moral philosophy.

Over these past 14 years he has served the Legion of Christ and Regnum Christi as promotional director, business manager, writer, development director, chaplain to Lumen Institute, chaplain to ECYD boys, chaplain to Regnum Christi men, and chaplain to Regnum Christi young men and women.

Since July 2019 he has been serving the Ohio Valley region as the local vocation coordinator as well as the business manager for the Legionary community. As of the summer of 2020 he will also begin serving the Ohio Valley region as the local development officer.

In his “spare time”, he enjoys music, writing, being outdoors, and studying the spiritual life.
