The Summer and Fall 2021 were a time of immense blessings for our Cincinnati Legionary community as God gave us the opportunity to serve over 1,000 souls in the various apostolic events of the Summer and Fall.
Camp River Ridge hosted over 750 youth and adults this summer.
Royalmont Academy kicked off another school year. Our
Regnum Christi Men’s and Women’s ministry continued providing spiritual nourishment to our Regnum Christi family throughout the RC Greater Cincinnati Locality... and much, much more.
To continue to be conduits of God’s grace, we need to make sure that we are first deeply united to God and attuned to the action of the Holy Spirit. So, like every summer, our LC community also took time to go away for eight days of silent spiritual exercises to recharge our spiritual batteries and turn off all the noise of the world so as to reconnect to the Holy Spirit for the year ahead.
Another blessing of this summer was our community vacation, where we were able to get-away for some quality fraternal time (something hard to come by in daily life). Thanks to the generosity of some friends in Alabama, we were able to spend a number of days together as a community in R&R to recharge our physical batteries for the year of mission ahead of us.
While this summer meant the departure of our long-time superior, Fr. John Bullock, it also brought with it the blessing of the arrival of three new community members: Fr. Ronald Conklin arrived from
Sacred Heart Apostolic School in Indiana to be our new superior, the ECYD boys director, and vocation coordinator. Br. Hayden Rodrigue arrived from our
Novitiate and College of Humanities of the Legionaries of Christ in Cheshire, Connecticut, to begin his apostolic internship serving the
ECYD boys of the Ohio Valley. And we also received the good news that Fr. Dean Stasel will be arriving around Christmas from Mexico to help serve the Regnum Christi Men and Women’s sections of the Ohio Valley.
From Left to Right: Fr. Thomas Flynn, Fr. Lucio Boccacci, Br. Hayden Rodrigue, Fr. Ronald Conklin, Br. Ryan Carlin,
Fr. Jesus Salinas, Fr. Matthew Summe. Still missing Fr. Dean Stasel who will arrive at Christmas.
Finally, as the summer wore down, we were blessed to receive the great news that one of our Regnum Christi Mission Corps young men from last year, Stephen Beins, would now be known Brother Stephen Beins, LC, as he enters the
Legion of Christ Seminary in Cheshire, Connecticut to begin his studies for the Legionary of Christ Priesthood.

In short, this Summer and Fall have brought with them many great blessings from Our Lord. We look forward to the year of mission ahead of us, and we want to thank everyone whose spiritual and financial support make it possible for us to devote our lives to serving God’s flock here in the Ohio Valley. Count on our daily prayers for each of you. Blessings…
