In June, 2021, we announced that
Fr. John Bullock LC would be leaving us before the end of summer for his new assignment in Houston. Two events were hosted this summer where Fr. John had an opportunity to say farewell to many in our locality. We will greatly miss him and his leadership. Please join me thanking Fr. John for his time and gift of himself here in the Ohio Valley, serving our adults, young adults, and our youth over these past nine years. [

We are also pleased to announce that
Fr. Ronald Conklin, LC, will be the new superior of our local Legionary of Christ community in Cincinnati, as well as our ECYD Boys Director. In addition, we expect another Legionary priest will be arriving at a later date to assist with Regnum Christi. Here is Fr. Ronald's photo and biography:
Fr. Ronald grew up in southeast Michigan until his family moved to Dallas just before high school gradulation from The Highland School in Irving. He served one year in the Regnum Christi Mission Corps in Mexico before joining the Legionaries of Christ. He was ordained to the priesthood in Rome on December 15, 2012. For the past eight years he has worked with families and boys as rector and then as the director of admissions at Sacred Heart Apostolic School. He is an athlete and fisherman who has as his personal motto: “Jesus Christ is everything!”
Yvonne Nuxoll also announced that
Fr Matthew Summe, LC, has agreed to be the new Regnum Christi Director for Greater Cincinnati, replacing her in this role effective July 1, 2021. She expressed confidence in his leadership, saying: "Fr. Matthew has a simple and great apostolic zeal and care for souls. He brings many gifts to the table along with a wealth of apostolic experience."
Yvonne expects to remain in the Greater Cincinnati area to continue with adult ministry locally as well as serving in her other assignment of supporting Regnum Christi Directors across the North American Territory. As she hands over this local leadership role to Fr Matthew, she is reminded of Saint Paul’s inspiring words to the Colossians, and it is her hope that we will let Christ’s peace rule in our hearts, will strive together to build up the Kingdom of Christ, and will give thanks to God in everything:
“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” -- Col. 3:12-17
Letter of Farewell from Fr. John Bullock, LC June 5, 2021
Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends in Regnum Christi,
I have recently been informed that I will be transferred to my new assignment in Houston by the beginning of August. There I will be assisting with the RC Men’s Section and Businessmen, in addition to serving as chaplain for the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. I look forward to my new mission. Living in Houston will also give me an opportunity to be closer to Mom, and for that I am grateful to God.
Nevertheless, my departure will be bittersweet since I will be leaving you, my Regnum Christi Family in the Ohio Valley. I have had the grace and pleasure to live and work side by side with you for the last nine years. I consider you friends. I remain deeply convinced that the charity and connection we experience within the Movement is a sign of Our Lord’s presence among us. I appreciate your love for Jesus, for Regnum Christi, and for the Church. I have learned so much from you.
I do hope to personally say farewell to as many of you as possible amidst the coming and going of this summer. . . Please be assured of my continued prayers for you, and I ask for yours.
