Thy Kingdom Come!
Hello, my name is Mary Peach and I am from Hartville, Ohio near Akron -- up northeast. I recently moved to Cincinnati after many years of wishing and praying I would one day be a resident here! I am from a big family, there are nine kids and I am the middle child, but I happily get to share that role with my twin sister. Shortly after my twin sister and I arrived from Ethiopia in 2010, we quickly jumped into Challenge and ECYD, taking every opportunity we could to go to Rhode Island to visit our older sister Rachel who was discerning with the Consecrated Women and to participate in lots of summer camps and conventions. After my freshman year of high school I had the opportunity to be an ECYD Missionary for the summer in CIncinnati, serving the different clubs and working closely with the Consecrated Women. Not only did I meet some of the best people, but I also had some of the most beautiful experiences where I learned to serve selflessly and strengthen my relationship with Jesus. I truly believe that through this experience, I felt this conviction in my heart to continue to serve through the Regnum Christi Charism and to continue deepen my relationship with Him.
Throughout the next few years, I took every opportunity that came across to help with any middle school and high school retreats, summer camps, and other events. I wanted to be a part of experiences that allowed these girls to encounter Jesus in a new way, the same experiences I had when I was their age. I continue to work closely with the Consecrated Women (one who happens to be my older sister Rachel) with ECYD programs and RC young adult events.
Currently, I am teaching at St. Pius X School in Edgewood, KY supporting the 4th grade teachers as an instructional aide. It has been a lot of fun being in the classroom with little ones who literally are your best friends. I just graduated in December with my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on Family Life Education. I am excited to see what kind of doors the Lord will open for me next! I am so blessed to be in Cincinnati, surrounded by friends who are family, and grateful that I get to serve such a beautiful and faithful community!
