On November 21st, 2020, our community had the gift to host Victoria Backstrom’s Final Vows Mass. Victoria has been discerning her vocation with the
Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi through the formal 8-year process, a journey which was marked with her forever “yes” to God in vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience for life.
Victoria’s final vows were scheduled for early September in Madrid, Spain, where she is currently studying Theology. However, with the COVID travel restrictions in Spain, she chose to move her final vows mass to the United States so her family could be present. While she is originally from Minnesota, and the majority of her family lives there, she proposed Cincinnati as the new location for her vows, in order to have the presence of
Legionaries of Christ and
Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi as well.
Many of the members of our community have known Victoria over the years, and to have her receive her ring, as a sign of her life-long commitment to God in Regnum Christi, here with us, was a renewing and joyful experience.
Other Consecrated Women from different communities were able to come for the special mass in the
Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, including
Kathleen Murphy, who received her vows as our territorial director.
Join us in thanking God for the gift of Victoria’s vocation and praying for all those God is calling to follow Him as Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi.
